Artists Statement- Watercolor
If there is one medium that I truly love, it would have to be watercolor. There is something so magical about the way the color can flow and run when it is wet . Combined with all of the amazing surprises that emerge when it is dry make for a truly exciting and organic medium.

As with all of my art I do not preplan these images. I allow myself to be guided, to be a vessel through which the images are created. This a process that I have been following pretty much since I started doing art, and when I allow it to happen it never lets me down. It's only when I allow my ego in and start trying to control the image that I get into trouble.

Artists Statement- Digital Art
I'm a strong believer that art should be progressive in nature. And that by taking it another couple of steps, it creates something new and exciting. Something that opens up new ways of thinking and perhaps works to bolster more positive ideals in people. I have a very strong desire to be a force for compassion on the planet, so as a result, I feel it is important not to create work that is dark or violent in nature. Computer Art is one avenue for this.

When I work, I don’t plan too much. Instead I prefer to allow an organic, flowing river of ideas to carry me to the shores of a completed piece. I trust I will be guided and that the art knows what it needs.

With the Computer Art, I start with a figure that begins as one of a series of loosely drawn lines. When one of those lines catches my interest, it is developed into a fully realized figure. Once completed, the figure is scanned into the computer. From there it is a process of trying different things, playing with ideas and most of all listening. Listening to hear spirit tell me what it’s about, what it needs to be complete. I find it ‘s important to get myself and my ego out of the way for this process. I stop trying to control the image and to allow it to become what it ‘s supposed to be. By doing this I hopefully fulfill my intention to create works that are useful and in service of others.

Artists Statement- Sequential Art
I love the form of Sequential Art and I truly believe there is unlimited potential for the medium as far as layout, content and presentation goes. It is a true art form unto itself. But has been kept static by inaccurate bias and misperception by the public. It’s generally thought that comics are just “kids stuff”, just limited to Superman or Archie. But that is just one small facet of the medium or its potential. Sequential Art has the ability to capture complex and abstract ideas and to present them in new and different ways that have not been seen before.

My Sequential Art is created in a similar fashion to how I create Computer Art. It's a very loose and organic process where normally I won’t even know what the sequence is going to be about until it’s done. But I have gotten to the point where I can trust and just create a layout that is interesting and establish forms and backgrounds for it. I find this leads to many more epiphanies than if I were to sit down and write a script detailing exactly what happens in each panel. I need the process to be unrestrained and for it to build momentum and grow. The line work is drawn by hand and then either painted in watercolor or scanned into the computer. At this point I have just a vague sense of what the dialogue will be and I focus on adding the color and making any changes to the forms or the layout. After this is completed, I will sit and just type the dialogue straight into the word balloons, without preplanning it or scripting it. I find this straight, meditative writing allows me to touch on things that I would not have thought of had I planned it out.

Artists Statement- Cats
I love cats. I really do. Most of that stems from my 6 year old domestic short hair, Tigger. And the images here, are a reflection of the love I have for the feline breed.

All of the pieces shown were done completely in watercolor and then scanned in. They are shown without any computer "enhancement". As with all of my art I do not preplan these images. I allow myself to be guided, to be a vessel through which the images are created.

I never really know where my imagery is headed. It is all a process of momentum where one thing leads to another and continues to build and change upon itself. But I can say, that I will continue to make art that feels true to me, art that has a genuine emotional and spiritual component to it and that continues to expand upon what I have created before.
